A Cervical Spine Model is an anatomical representation of the uppermost portion of the vertebral column, typically comprising seven cervical vertebrae (C1–C7). This model helps demonstrate the structure, function, and pathology of the neck and upper spinal region.
C1 (Atlas) and C2 (Axis) are highly detailed to show their unique structure and function:
Atlas (C1) supports the skull and allows nodding.
Axis (C2) has the odontoid process (dens), allowing rotation.
C3–C7 show typical cervical vertebrae anatomy (small body, bifid spinous process).
Models often include soft or colored discs between vertebrae to show:

Common pathologies (e.g. herniated disc)
Some models include the base of the skull, demonstrating articulation with C1.
